The idea of BUCHAREST JEWISH TOURS came 17 years ago , in March 1999 , when an american traveler coming from Prague asked a question to one of our representatives : I came from Prague where I had an impressive tour of the city focusing on the Jewish Heritage . Is it anyway that you can help to show me some of the former neighbourhoods of Romania’s capital in a professional way in such a short time and at a such a short notice ?
So we have tailor made a city tour for the traveler according to his wishes
After getting back home, he gave very nice reviews about us to his travel agent for Prague , so a few months later , in June 1999 his travel agent for Prague sent us a fax letting us know that there are 4 other travelers interested in the Jewish Heritage of Bucharest. The grandparents of two of the travellers were born in the northern side of Romania so we brought them to this city tracing their family roots.
And so, step by step, by the end of 2000 we made the first brochure
